Emporium Stage presents “Still Life With Iris” by Steven Dietz this weekend.
This adventure fantasy drama features the directional debut of Chase Owens.
Chase, a drama/theater major at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, has delighted the local theatrical scene with his on-stage performances. He participated in U.I.L.
One Act productions at Woodville High School. Emporium Stage audiences
will remember him from “On Golden Pond”, “Arsenic and Old Lace”
and most recently the Scarecrow in “OZ”.
Set in the land of Nocturno, “Still Life With Iris” chronicles a young girl’s quest to regain
her memory, and with it, her home. With the help of the incredible people she meets along the way, Iris’ crusade recovers more than her past. She succeeds in finding within herself, the power of faith and the courage of persistence. These traits will lead her home.
The theater lobby will open 1 hour before curtain. (Seating will be 30 minutes before curtain). Tickets are $10 for both students and adults. Tickets are available at the
Art Gallery across from Sullivan’s Hardware, or at the door before the play.
