MISSION STATEMENT

The Emporium for the Arts, Inc’s mission is to promote and support the visual and performing arts for the cultural growth and enjoyment of its rural East Texas community.

This mission includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. Encouraging and supporting educational opportunities for children, youth, and adults in all aspects of visual and performing arts and related fields;

2. Providing rural East Texas region residents with opportunities to gain a greater appreciation of the performing arts by managing and supporting the Emporium Stage through the revitalization of Community Theater experiences;

3. Providing opportunities for artisans to share their creative skills with others nurturing all artistic disciplines.

4. Providing rural East Texas area residents with opportunities to participate with the visual and performing arts.

5. Contributing to the quality of life in its rural East Texas region.

Emporium for the Arts, Inc. was charted as a non-profit educational organization under 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code in June, 2008. It is located in the community of Woodville, the northern gateway of the Piney Woods of East Texas.
